(For He's a) JOLLY GOOD FELLOW
Beginner BA1 - Unit 2 (Practice) Song-Melody
Traditional
Button-Accordion Notation (simplest version)
Although you may be a "beginner" on the button accordion, you already know lots of tunes, perhaps including the English/American folk song For He's a Jolly Good Fellow. The idea here is to first practice with very familiar (or, at least, somewhat familiar) song-melodies.
Either row: Buttons 3 to 5*
Place first finger at button 3 and third finger at 5, covering all the notes without having to change your finger positions. |
Part 1
Included for practice in this Unit. Learning Part 2 can be deferred. Part 2 (1st two lines) For remainder of Part 2: Either repeat last two lines of Part 1 Or repeat all of Part 1. In either case, hold last note for 6 beats at end. |

Embedded youTube Videos
Nine videos in the keys: C=3 (played on inside row of a G-C accordion)
D=2 (played on inside row of an A-D accordion)
G=4 (played on outside row of a G-C accordion)
If you find any of these performances to be too fast, you can set the play-back speed to 75% or 50% (but not to the terrible-sounding 25%).

For he's a jolly good fellow, For he's a jolly good fellow For he's a jolly good fellow, And so say all of us.
