Many of the instrumental are short, covering only two verses.

Key:  A

Group:  Bounding Main

Posted by:  edsko1973

Instrumental - guitar

Key: A   for the singing parts.  I'm not
sure of some of the instrumental
              interludes.

A music video built around "My Bonnie".

Posted by:  The Bullets gr

An interesting "rock" sound, and playing around the original tune, and with a wide range of tempos throughout.

Key:  A  Time 0:19 to 0:56  (traditional)

         C  from time 0:58 to 3:36  (Rock!)

Group:  THE BEATS
              with Pete Best on drums.

Posted by: deliverymick

Pete Best was an original drummer with The Beatles, before being replaced by Ringo Star.

Key:  C

Instrumental - Rock version

Key:  Eb ?

Group:  Haydn Quartet (1901)

Posted by: THEVICTROLAGUY

Very rare recording from 1900 - perhaps remastered.

Key:  C   (a good video for an actual
                 beginner with no previous
                 accordion experience)

From time 0 to 3:12 - very very slow
                                      (true beginner)

From 3:28 to 4:16 (end) - regular speed

Accordion player:    Gerard Gerritsen

Posted by:  Gerard Gerritsen

This is played on a C-F uniquely-tuned accordion.  If you play a G-C in key of C, don't try to follow his finger movements.

An interesting video, making use of multi-button harmony (as well as the bass buttons in the regular-speed performance).

Key:  D   from time 0:25 to 3:00

Singer:  Tamra Rosanes

Posted by:  Tamra Rosanes -
                                        Topic

The instruments are warmed up in the first 25 second.

There are slight variations in the melody after the 3:00 mark.

Lyrics:

My Bonnie lies over the ocean
My Bonnie lies over the sea
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me...

Refrain:    Bring back, bring back
Bring back my Bonnie to me, to me
                  Bring back, bring back
Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me

O blow ye winds over the ocean
o blow ye winds over the sea
O blow ye winds over the ocean
and bring back my Bonnie to me

Last night as I lay on my pillow
Last night as I lay on my bed
Last night as I lay on my pillow
I dreamt that my Bonnie was dead

The winds have blown over the ocean
The winds have blown over the sea
The winds have blown over the ocean
And brought back my Bonnie to me
