BUTTON-ACCORDION cOURSE 1 (BA1)
An INTRODUCTION to the Button-Accordion, its Music & Notation
For BEGINNERS with
A-D Accordion Group - Zoom Sessions (Group is limited to 8 participants):
Each Tuesday, starting 19 January 2021 (Instruction & Practice) 9:30 to 10:20 AM
Some Fridays (mostly Practice & feedback) 9:30 to 10:00
G-C Accordion Group - Zoom Sessions (Group is limited to 8 participants):
Each Tuesday, starting 19 January 2021 (Instruction & Practice) 11:00 to 11:50 AM
Some Fridays (mostly Practice & feedback) 11:00 to 11:30 AM
(Clock times: Newfoundland standard time NST = GMT - 3.5 hours
= EST + 1.5 hours)
BA1 - GOALS: 1. To help beginners learn to play the dual-row (A-D or G-C) button
accordion.
2. To investigate Zoom as an instructional & practice medium for the
button accordion.
PROCESS: 1. Zoom-based Instruction Sessions that include Power-Point presentations, accordion demonstrations, and web & youTube screen-sharing.
2. Zoom-based Practice Sessions that include playing along with the
instructor, and interacting with the Instructor and other learners.
3. Home-based Practice that includes web-based materials and selected
embedded youTube videos on the tunes2play4fun.com site.
4. Feed back using both Zoom and Email.
5. Zoom sessions are "VIDEO-ON" and "AUDIO-OFF/ON", at the discretion of
the Instructor.
DISCLAIMER: 1. No charges, No fees, No examinations, No guarantees.
2. Many of the Zoom instructional materials and processes have been
tested using a desktop computer, a notebook, and a new large iPad,
without problems, but have NOT been tested using smaller tablets
or smart-phones.
3. Instructor is NOT a professional musician, but for nearly 35 years
was an instructional developer and teacher; now retired in St. John's
NL, and playing the button accordion for the pure fun of it.

- with adequate Internet & audio-video support for Zoom and the Web
